I’m happy David and team will be recognized tonight!!! (even if it only for a second, since they are going to announce five teams - doesnt matter anymore-what matters is a job well done)

He is MY AMERICAN ROLE IDOL and an incredible human being and only 17. WOW! LOVE THIS YOUNG MAN. I have never been so impressed with any artists, needless to say a 17 year old. And I am 45 year old woman. What an incredible role model for all of us.

Sigh……!! Y’know, I thought I’d settle down a little after the AI finale, but I still can’t get enough of this kid. The way he expresses himself is not only adorable, it’s so uncharacteristic of teenagers. Anyone else out their raising teenage boys? Getting more than a two-word answer out of them is usually pretty difficult–it’s just the way it is, I’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s typical. But David, at 17, is able to express himself like I’ve never seen a boy his age do. What a guy, no embarassment, he just is who he is. Wow.

That was a great interview of David . I mean it shocks me that David thinks he is uniteresting cuz everything he says or does interest me . Ok sorry but my ODD is on overdrive right now . Anyway , I love all the intresting facts from the interview the type of girl he likes but I still wonder if he prefers blond or brunettes (and btw I know I am not the only one curious about which he would like better ) . The other thing is that he hasn’t kissed a girl yet at least the fans know his first kiss will be with someone special imo . The last thing I realized is that when I watched this interview it makes me sad cuz all the Archie fans ( including myself ) are not going to get their daily fix of David news and videos . I guess I have to agree with the fans that we are little spoiled with the vids of David’s concert performances but I do know that he will do bigger and better things after the Idol tour which definitly helps to turn my frown upside down . So to all the Archie and Arch Angels this is one summer I will never forget .
What an adorable young man. So true #10 I have 16, 13 and 11 year old boys and no much conversation. My 13yr old talks the most but he reminds me of David or should I say David reminds me of him. I am with you though, I thought like yrs before that after AI I would buy a few cd’s and that would be that. But this kid has me hooked and I am constantly looking for news and updates. His laugh is adorable. We met David in OKC last week and my younger son who is a Jason Castro fan is now a Jason Castro and David Archulet Fan. I just can’t wait to see what is in store for him after this tour.

Awwww, David. You are TOO interesting. He said the magic words “respectful to girls”. Yea! You don’t have to pull pranks on people or do weird things with your thumbs to be interesting. Just stand there and smile and that’s interesting enough. This is cool that he’s in G.R. My hometown (well, close enough).

Has everyone seen the little blurb about David in the new issue of Entertainment Weekly? They put Crush on their 10 things they love list. Good for him! EW is huge exposure!!
Great interview. He needs a new doctor they are now treating the cold and allergy very effectively. A good saline nasal rinse would fix it right up.
These interviwers still don’t get it about David. What makes him unique and “interesting” is that he’s just this regular kid from Utah, with no attitude, guile, ego,or self importance. He makes no attempt to impress and dazzle anyone-he just IS. His appeal comes from his lack of all the things that most “celebrities” try to evloke. What 17 year old boy would admit to never having kissed a girl? That takes guts in our self promoting society. To the media–Stop asking David these idiotic and inane questions, and let him just be the warmest, most sincere young guy on the planet with THE voice that can bring anyone with half a heart to tears of joy in an instant. I would like to confirm: the delete-internet-files-clear-the-page-vote-again method isn´t working for the Idollive poll, is it? Cause I can do it in all the others, but not in this one… and David is loosing badly to Cook!

David can’t do any “wierd things with his thumb” but he can get crowds of 8 to 10 thousand people screaming and appaulding his amazing singing abilities. Uhmmm.. does that make him Dull????

What a gem! Most guys this age wouldn’t be honest enough to admit they hadn’t kissed a girl yet. I’ve raised two sons of my own and know that their egos are really high at this age. He is simply AMAZING and so are his parents. They’ve done a very good job, IMO.
I love it when he says, “I have alergies and look that building has Arch on it” He is so random gotta luv him!!
I know as a fan and all of us as fans prob. will never be the one david will share his first kiss with but, the one girl that does get that gift is one very very very very fortunate girl. David will know when its right and how wonderful that kiss would be! He is gorgeous.

What fun to see David speaking for more than 30 seconds! I love his open and honest answers (even if he feels he should have ‘better’ ones!) It is David Archuleta’s HEART that makes me smile every time. I love that he hasn’t rushed through his life experiences.
As far as the polls go - I understand that it’s to the advantage of the sites to keep the competition alive, but I feel we need to move on and focus on the future (which has so much more in it than any poll can control.) I still vote, don’t get me wrong, but I don’t believe for a second that the polls will determine David’s success. His TALENT will take care of that!!

He’s the most interesting boy in the whole world.
The 17-yr old David Archuleta acted just like any 17-yr old would in this interview. He speaks pretty much the same way as my daughter’s friends do. On second thoughts, David actually speaks and responds better than they do. And David, you are most interesting because you’ve got talent, honesty, humility, and respect for your fans and the media.
We have your back, David. I’ll be very interested in seeing how you turn out in 5 more years. Take care!

I ask this because they sang studio versions to prepare for the finale because both Archuleta and Cook had to learn the winning song… and there’s Cook’s studio version of it avaliable… so I was wondering if Archuleta has one.

The interview started well and then she started spiralling down with superficial stuff. The best part was when he noticed the Arch sign.

Oh how can he say he not interesting? The interviewer should have said well how about the fact that YOU CAN SING, no one beats that. If you have ODD and I do, everything is interesting. Just smile at us David, that is the best mood lifter around, that is your hidden talent. He was really nervous about her asking about dating. I wish the reports would find other questions to ask him. They should ask us we could help. David take care of yourself that congestion did not sound good. God Bless.

This reporter said she was a fan but she sure didn’t know much about David. I know he is really tired of answering the same questions over and over again. Poor thing with the cold and now really terrible allergies. He needs some TLC and lots of rest.

I thought this interviewer was too invasive and that David has difficulty with that type of interview. His lovelife needs to be left alone, and the direct question of his hooking up with Miley was over the top. This kid barely has time to spend with ANYONE right now and he has a lifetime ahead. It put him on the spot because he never wants to put people down. I also think it’s hard for him to tell people his “secrets” because I think he’s a respectful guy who doesn’t push into everyone else’s private “secrets”. Instead he said he was uninteresting.
To the contrary, David. You’re the first truly interesting teen to come along in a very long time.

Since these two polls in question (Pop Star and Fan Gap) have no rules posted stating that you are only allowed to vote once, I do not believe that it can be considered “cheating” to vote on them more often. Teen Choice Awards specifically states that you are only allowed to vote once a day per email account, and they can track your votes this way too.

I think that interview was a good one. The interviewer is pretty. She likes David. David is so adorable as usual. Just love his humility so much. Hope his allergies would go away and stop pestering him. I love what he said about respecting women. What a sweet young man. Whoever catches his attention should consider herself the luckiest girl alive!

Kathy,#32, I’m 55+ and have been a pop music lover since Alan Freed was the DJ on WINS in NYC. I have been mourning the slow death of great pop music since the late ’80s. If someone now yelled, “is there a doctor in the house?” for pop music, that doctor would be our David. His performances on AI of the music of my youth were utterly fantastic, and, dare I say, better than the originals. His warmth and wonderful nature is what makes him so captivating and magnetic. He’s showing all of us that just being yourself is more than enough, if you’re real and sincere.
These interviewers who want to reduce David to the “heart throb of the month” with their silly questions about his “love life”, etc. completely miss the point of who he is and what he’s about. He can’t help it if he’s adorable, but “gosh”, he’s so much more.
I know I can be defensive about David. Fortunately, he doesn’t need me to defend him. He handles all these situations with more class and dignity at 17 than I have ever dreamed of having.
Heather #36 and Archangel48 # 47, thanks for your kind words. Just as David sings from his heart, I write about David from my heart, so the words just flow. That is the best lesson I have learned from David. Live from your heart and not from your head. In that way, you’re always true to yourself, no matter what happens. Look how easily he accepted the few missteps he took on the show, and moved on to dazzle the judges and the viewing audience. How many of us make mistakes in life, and instead of moving on, we allow those mistakes to become the focus of out lives, and sabatoge our happiness. David does not allow that to happen to him and is a living example of how that can make your life more fulfilling. David is a 17 year old kid with a philosophy of life that is almost fully formed. Personally, I’m more than 3x his age, and I’m still trying to get it together.

I can’t imagine how annoying it gets for David to be put on the spot with some of these dumb questions. I dont’ like that she brought up the stage father bit again. For heaven’s sake, all of it was garbage and it’s soooooooo not noteworthy at this point. Then the question about the first kiss…leave this poor boy alone already. THEN the Miley thing…what a boring question…I mean from what I know of David and his values, Miley would be the LAST girl he would be interested in. The first thing he ALWAYS says when asked how his ideal girl is that he would want a girl who respects herself. Well I think the naked Vanity Fair thing would immediately disqualifiy her. This interviewer did not ask but the same old questions. This is the closest I have seen to David being a bit aggravated when she pressed him about something interesting. I give him so much credit for being so sweet all the time when he is asked the same boring questions. I say, don’t ask about kisses, don’t ask about Miley, don’t ask about the stage Dad thing. How about something original. Ask David about what he feels inside when he sings a certain song. Ask him how important it is for him to give to others. Giving is David’s thing. And it is so unusual, yet no one talks about it. Ask him about how important it is to him that he has these fans that FEEL his music. Connect to him. Oh I could think of a ton of interesting things to ask. This interviewer really bugged me if you can’t tell lol

If interviewers want to ask David interesting questions, ask him about his love of music and how he feels about the positive effect it has on people of all ages. I realize that David is young, cute, and mega- popular, but to try to make him into just another pop icon with ordinary values is an insult to David and his real fans. His “real” fans, like the ones I see here, appreciate and love him for being exactly who he is, and do not need or want any “juicy” tidbits about his life to spice things up.
I thought the interview went nicely. Emily was kind to David and let him know she liked him,too. When he said that “time flies”, I thought that was funny. That!s David though. To me, it would seem like “Ground hog day”! He makes me laugh. To me, it seems like he!s been touring forever. The part about him not having breakfast, I believe. I don!t know if he has time for anything! He is just soooo amazing. He brings a smile to my face every time I see his face. Thanks for all the videos today!!!
About the show last night, congratulations to Pecan Pie and all the archangels donations for Crush Kids Cancer. My one wish though, was that David would have sung “Imagine” I love Josh Groban and I know David does,too, but I personnaly think David beat Josh at performing that song. It became David!s song the night he sang it on Idol!!! I1m just saying. Does anybody else agree with me?

David is so random at the end of the interview when he discovers the building across from them that has “Arch” on it. At that point, he is so relaxed and himself. Soooo cute. Godda love him.
